Editorial Policies

New York Pagan podcast is intended to be a platform for unique and diverse voices within the Pagan community of New York State. We encourage submissions that touch upon a broad array of topics reflecting the multiverse of Paganism in our state and surrounding areas today.

Our primary editorial policy is to be liberal in our acceptance of content, as long as it relates to Paganism and is not "hate speech," i.e., does not incite violence or prejudicial action against or by another person or group, or otherwise disparages or intimidates another person or group.

All submissions will be subject to this editorial policy. If a submission is found to be in violation of this policy, the contributor will be notified of the specific violating points and will be encouraged to resubmit the content.

What We Seek

We encourage spells, meditations, prayers, reflections, commentaries, as well as reviews of books, films, television, theatre, music, etc. We also seek poetry, songs, stories, dramatic reenactments (radio plays), and other bardic offerings. We welcome discussions on art, politics, astrology, tarot, gematria, numerology, runes, I Ching, kabbalah, hermeticism, Freemasonry, Druidry, religion, and spirituality. We seek practical tips for everyday magic, trivia, and original ideas. We will share news about upcoming sales and promotions at Pagan businesses, and publish a calendar of events that you think would be of interest to local Pagans. We invite interviews with members of the Pagan community, famous or not, and especially invite representatives from all the many traditions, covens, groups, etc., to talk about their paths and worldview. We also seek technologies reviews -- what are your favorite Pagan apps, and why?

As Pagans find inspiration in all religious and spiritual paths, we also welcome contributions from non-Pagans seeking to address the Pagan community.

Have an idea that isn't included here? Great! Submit it! We rely on the creativity and imaginations of our contributors.

Have a LOT of ideas and have ideas about how to realize them? Then you might be editor material. Email editors@newyorkpagan.org to inquire about joining our editorial team. This is a community effort, and your energy will be welcome.
